Why not try the beautiful country of South Africa. Visiting Cape town you can enjoy the gorgeous weather most of the year round, cooling only to about 13 degrees Celsius. The benefits of going south of the equator are that you can more or less guarantee yourself some winter sun! With the heat turning up between November and March you would likely get between 20-30 degrees Celsius during the day! With rainfall at a minimum and see temperatures reaching the mid 20’s you will enjoy a dip in the sea down here. However, if you fancy an adult day excursion, or perhaps a few days inland on your holiday, we would suggest driving about an hour away to the Cape Wine routes. Here in and around the villages and towns of Franschhoek and Stellebosch are some of the most renowned vineyards in South Africa. With some beautiful walks available or some guided tasting tours, you will not regret your day(s) away from the beach.

Why not try an island just of Spain? Something a bit different to being on the mainland can be a nice change! Especially if you are there for the beaches! Menorca and Majorca are just a couple of the islands available to visit in the Mediterranean. With just one of its beaches  ‘Son Bou’ stretching out over 3km Menorca is definitely got to be considered for a Beach Holiday. With flights coming into Mahon and hotels available there and dotted around most places, you really can consider this a chill zone! For a beach side hotel you can’t get much closer than the Sol Milanos Pingüinos resort which is located right on Son Bou beach. You can almost roll out of bed and onto the glorious golden sand! Its not all just sand either, there are bars, water sports and areas with sunbeds and sunshades plus near to the resort there are shops, chemists and other entertainment options including a bowling alley!

Disneyland is the original theme park built by Disney, and is located on the west coast of USA, in Anaheim California. Disney World was released at a later date on the opposite side of USA, in Miami. Both of the two locations have their similarities, and their differences, but both of them make a great experience for you and your whole family. Both of them have excellent rides, and offer an amazing adventure for young children.

When considering which one you’d like to visit, there are lots of things you need to consider beforehand. With multiple wars, like the Revolutionary war against the British, the Civil war, the war against Mexico, and various conflicts against Native Americans, much of the heritage locations are old battlefields, often accompanied by regular re-enactments of the battles by enthusiasts, which offer an exciting glimpse into the way battle was conducted hundreds of years ago. This is ideal for children on the trip, as it often provides a quality education on history, and can really help to develop an interest in history as well. Besides the heritage sites, you also have great beaches and tasty food available through the east and west coasts of USA.

Istanbul may not be one of the first locations that come to mind when you think of top locations to visit around the world.  Istanbul is where Europe and Asia meet and where you can expect to see breathtaking ancient architecture alongside modern food restaurants and an amazing nightlife atmosphere. The city’s mosques, bazaars, and Turkish baths will keep you entertained for years and ensure that you are not bored or disappointed for your entire holiday. Why not stroll the Galata Bridge and stop by the Miniaturk Park to see its tiny artefacts that are on display, this is an extraordinary experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Also the Grand Bazaar has thousands of shops to browse and barter with, while the Egyptian Bazaar is a fragrant trove of spices and fruits. This is a shoppers heaven and even if you are just window shopping it seems like a totally different way of life and one to be enjoyed by all. If you like people watching then these markets are great for that and if you have the gift of the gab you may be able to pick up a great bargain.

Egypt really is a holiday Gem. It has everything to offer that you could possibly want on a holiday. If you have any interest in Egyptology and the pharaohs then this is a must on your list of places to visit. In Cairo’s Egyptian Museum, you can see Tutankhamen’s death mask and the mummified remains of ancient kings. Just a stone’s throw away, outside the city, you can stand next to the towering Great Pyramid and the Sphinx and imagine how on earth they were built. You really need to see them in person to get the effect of how vast they really are.

In Luxor you have the opportunity to explore the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Karnak. The Temple of Karnak is the largest ancient religious site in the world. If all the history isn’t enough for you then Egypt has amazing beaches where you can spend hours relaxing on golden sands.
